Information about the Entrance examination
Date for the 2025/2026 school year:
The entrance exam for full-time training will take place on Friday, June 27, 2025 from 3 p.m. in the Hohner Conservatory.
The entrance exam consists of 2 parts:
- Practical exam: audition (duration approx. 10 minutes)
- Theoretical exam: ear training and music theory
Requirements audition: Duration approx. 10 minutes
Ear training requirements: rhythm dictation, naming intervals (up to octave), naming 3-part chords, naming scales, melody dictation
Music theory requirements: name intervals (up to octave), note intervals, name chords, note chords, functional analysis, note scale

Information on enrollment
Prerequisites for admission are:
– Secondary school leaving certificate
– Passing the entrance examination
Application:
– Fill in the application form
After submitting the application form, we will contact the person as soon as possible. In the second step, the following documents must be submitted:
– Curriculum vitae with a description of previous musical education
– 2 passport photos
– Current police clearance certificate (not older than 6 months)
– Birth certificate
– Proof of health insurance
– Proof of measles vaccination
– Language level B1 for foreign students
Start of lessons:
based on the teaching times of the state of Baden-Württemberg
School fees:
(valid since 11.03.2019)
€ 1.200,- per school year
Educational support through BAföG may be possible.
Enrollment fee (one-off) € 41,-
