Competition Akkordeon Grenzenlos 2024

Registration deadline: Tue, March 12, 2024

Registration conditions: 

• The competition fee has been paid
• The competition program for both rounds was submitted by email to info@hohner-konservatorium.de
• The competition participants registered in person at the conservatory on April 2, 2024 between 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m
• The date of birth and name of all participants was entered under “Order comments” in the checkout area or communicated by email

Info about the categorys:

Klassik:

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Round 1: 15-20 minutes
• Program requirements Round 1: At least 1 baroque, 1 lyric and 1 virtuoso work
• At least one of the works from the 1st round must be an original composition
• Round 2: 10 minutes
• 1st prize: €1100  (€800 in cash + €300 fee for a 20-minute concert engagement as part of the World Music Festival 2025 in Innsbruck (Austria))*
• 2nd prize: €500
• 3rd prize: €300

Popular:

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Round 1: 10-15 minutes
• Program Requirements Round 1: At least 2 different styles of music
• Round 2: 10 minutes
• 1st prize: €800

Junior-Klassik:

• Maximum age: 17 years
• Round 1: 10-15 minutes
• Program requirements round 1: 1 baroque, 1 lyric and 1 virtuoso work
• At least one of the works must be an original composition
• Round 2: 10 minutes

• 2nd prize: €250
• 3rd prize: €150

Junior-Popular:

• Maximum age: 17 years
• Round 1: 8-10 minutes
• Program requirements Round 1: at least 2 different styles of music
• Round 2: 10 minutes

Ensemble:

• Minimum age (average age of all participants): 17 years
• At least 1 accordion
• Maximum of 7 players (only formations without a conductor)
• Round 1: 15-20 minutes
• free choice of music
• Round 2: 10 minutes
• 1st prize: €1200
• 2nd prize: €600
• 3rd prize: €400

Junior-Ensemble:

• Maximum age (average of all participants): 18 years
• At least 1 accordion

Information and program requirements for the final round (round 2):

• 3 candidates/ensembles per category will be admitted to the final round
• Duration: 10 minutes
• The program choice must correspond to the category
• The works must differ from the 1st round
• The program selection must have a concert character and reflect both musicality and performance skills
